InSitech, Inc. is a Partnership Intermediary representing the
business interests of the Armaments Research, Development, and
Engineering Center (ARDEC)
located at the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County,
New Jersey. With a management
team experienced in creating sustainable enterprise
value, InSitech is an integral driver in the DoD’s transformation
strategy.
InSitech will commercialize the intellectual property developed
or funded by ARDEC, which has dual-use applicability in the broader
commercial sector, in addition to the homeland defense/security,
law enforcement, public safety and first responder markets. This
will be accomplished through direct investment or by creating
business combinations (and jobs) with the private sector. To support
this initiative, InSitech and the Chart Group have formed
Chart Venture
Partners, L.P. a $100 Million venture fund that will
invest in private companies that (1) acquire and commercialize
federally funded, proven technologies or (2) develop technologies
that can be utilized by ARDEC.
InSitech also has an Enhanced Use Leasing objective, which includes
the renovation of 4 existing buildings (over 100,000 sq. ft.)
at Picatinny, as well as the development of 120 acres of non-excess
land into the Picatinny Applied Research Campus (PARC).
Anticipated tenants will include other government agencies, academia
and the private sector. The PARC will provide new, state of the
art facilities (build-to-suit) with access to the $1.2 Billion
of high tech equipment and over 64 laboratories, all in a collegial
R&D setting.
InSitech is focused on speeding the development of dual use technology
that will support the warfighter and provide a beneficial economic
impact to society.
